I used parallels desktop to make a dmg of the yosemite installer from which I could then install yosemite into parallels desktop. To make an iso file which can be burnt onto a dvd such that you could boot up the el capitan installer from the dvd and install el capitan. Obviously I could buy a USB keyboard and that will solve my immediate problem (I already have an old Mac USB mouse for emergencies). To make an iso file capable of installing el capitan into vmware fusion. launch Fusion 8.5.8 Professional on 10.13 build 17A291m and the VMs run. and installed the latest VMware Fusion 8.5.8 (5824040). I have powered off my keyboard and back on during keyboard detection. Download VMware Fusion 8 VMware Fusion PRO 8.040 MacOSX - avaxhomesos. In the VM settings, Keyboard & Mouse is set to "Mac Profile" and USB & Bluetooth is set to "Share Bluetooth devices with the virtual machine". OS X 0.11 boots up just fine up to the login screen - but then it fails to find my (Apple extended) Bluetooth keyboard (and sits there until I force a shutdown) nor responds to mouse movements. All other OS X versions before and after 10.11 find the bluetooth keyboard just fine. To be fair when I look at your screenshot then it looks like the CPU details on that page was missed on updating it to Fusion 10 as that smells pretty much like Fusion 8.x requirements. For the most part, my DOS and Windows VMs are working okay, as well as all my macOS except OS X 10.11 El Capitan). Hi, Core 2 Duo supported I would laugh if it wasn't so sad. Subsequently, I have been testing all my VMs, which all successfully updated to v12. I have upgraded my computer's OS to macOS 11.0 Big Sur and have upgraded Fusion from 11.x to 12.0. Please see VMware knowledge base article 52085 for more details. As a hobby, I maintain VMs of all major DOS and Windows versions, as well as all OS X versions (10.7 thru 10.15).

For best performance, Hardware Version 11 or higher is recommended. My MacPro seems to support all the hardware requirements from the VMware website.
