I spent a good 2-3hrs to finish a run of Griftlands, whereas for StS, a quick run can be finished in under 40mins.
You really need to be focused as it feels like more conscientious balancing is needed to beat the game, as compared to StS.
Beyond that Griftlands is more interesting visually and sound-wise, but StS has a slightly better UI (both are good) and is more interesting mechanically. I also think such a game benefits from a mouse, as you will be jumping around hovering over and right clicking many things all the time.Īlso, after having played a few rounds, and completing some games, it doesn't seem like a pick-up-and-go kind of game like StS. That's a lot of eye strain for the switch, so the bigger screen of a pc is much better. There is also a lot of dialogue that while skippable, you'd prolly read the first few rounds. Not only do the cards each get at least two upgrades, you need to read the descriptions of and effects various NPCs might bring your character to play strategically. It's not just cards and relics like in StS. There is a lot of reading to be done for this game. I spent quite a while contemplating this, and decided to bite the bullet and go with pc after skipping around a let's play.įor context, I have StS on a switch lite and it is my absolute top played game there. If you're torn between getting this on the pc or switch (played handheld), go with the pc.
